Festive Life Drawing: The Ultimate Christmas Hen Party Experience in Liverpool

The Christmas Celebration Your Hen Party Actually Wants
Here's the thing about hen parties: you've probably been to hundreds of them. The same bars. The same games. The same L-plates and terrible costumes. Everyone pretends to have fun, but by 2am you're just scrolling your phone and wondering why you bothered putting makeup on.
Festive life drawing is different. It's the kind of experience where your group actually bonds, actually laughs, and actually leaves with something worth keeping. Literally. You get to take your sketches home as proper mementos.
We operate from a purpose-built speakeasy-themed studio in Liverpool's Georgian Quarter. Our festive life drawing sessions are specifically designed for celebration groups, whether that's a hen do, work Christmas party, or a night out with your closest mates.
Or We Can Come to You (Portable Option)
Not everyone wants to leave their accommodation - or you may have a preferred venue. That's absolutely fine. We offer portable life drawing sessions too! Your instructor will come to wherever you're celebrating, set up all the materials, and run the exact same, brilliant session. No need to worry about transport, parking, or logistics. You get everything you need and the same creative, funny, bonding experience wherever you are. Whether you're in a hotel room, an Airbnb, a restaurant private space, or your mate's house, you'll get the same magic. Same brilliant instructor. Same laughter. Same wonky sketches to take home. Just without you having to leave your celebration base.
You get:
- 90 minutes of genuine fun
- Private bar with a personal bartender
- Professional photos
- Sketches you'll frame on your wall
And honestly? It beats every other hen party activity we see people booking.
December dates are filling up fast. If you want a Friday or Saturday in mid-to-late December, ring us now on 07710485898 or fill out our booking form.
Why Festive Life Drawing Beats Other Hen Party Activities
You've got options, but they've all been done before! If you want something unique and different to the usual karaoke bars, cocktail classes, afternoon teas, adventure activities, choose festive life drawing! It's an experience you won't forget in a hurry. Here are just a few of the reasons to give it a go:
1. You Get Genuine Group Bonding (no awkward forced games)
The shared creative challenge brings people together naturally. You're all figuring it out together, supporting each other, laughing at your attempts. By the end, you're closer than you were at the start. That's real bonding, not awkward icebreaker nonsense.
2. The Studio Actually Looks Stunning
Our speakeasy theme with moody lighting and 1920s prohibition vibes creates genuine atmosphere. When you step in, you feel like you're doing something special. Plus, it photographs brilliantly. The before-and-after sketches look incredible on Instagram.

3. Everyone Can Participate (No Exceptions)
Can't draw? Doesn't matter. Not sporty? Perfect, this isn't a fitness class. Shy? You'll be too focused on your sketch to worry. Our sessions are designed so literally any adult can do it and have a brilliant time. Your 18-year-old cousin and your 50-year-old mum both participate equally.
4. You Leave With Actual Keepsakes
Most hen parties give you blurry photos and a vague memory. We give you actual sketches you created. Your sketches go into an eco-friendly folder you take home. People frame these. Years later, you'll look at your sketch and remember exactly who you were with and why you were laughing so hard.
5. You Actually Learn Something
Our instructor teaches you proper drawing techniques. Proportions. Shading. How to render a figure. You walk in thinking you can't draw, and 90 minutes later you've created something you genuinely want to keep. That confidence boost is real.
6. It's an All-Inclusive Bargain (No surprise charges at the end)
£25 per person. That's the model, all your materials, the studio, your personal bartender, complimentary photos, and an eco-friendly folder for your sketches. No hidden extras. No "that'll be extra" moments. You know exactly what you're paying for.
Why We're Different From Other Life Drawing Venues
Not all life drawing experiences are created equal. Here's what actually sets us apart from competitors.
| What Makes Us Different | Why It Matters |

| Speakeasy Atmosphere | 1920s prohibition aesthetic creates genuine mood. When you walk in, you feel special. Photographs brilliantly. |
| Personal Bartender During Session | You'll be waited on like royalty, with your drinks topped up throughout. It's a service built into the experience, making it feel genuinely luxurious. |
| Award-Winning | Years of experience. Hundreds of sessions. Real recognition from real people. Our reviews speak for themselves. |
| Georgian Quarter Location | 24a Arrad Street, behind Everyman Theatre. Easy city centre access. Everything's on your doorstep for continuing the celebrations after your session. |

Perfect For Groups
For Hen Parties (Especially Brides-to-Be)
A hen do should celebrate the bride. Our sessions do that naturally. The bride gets to feel special. Your group bonds over something genuinely fun. She gets to take home a keepsake from her last night of freedom.
Most hen activities are either cheesy or forgettable. This is neither. It's classy. It's fun. It creates the kind of memories everyone remembers.
For Work Christmas Parties (When You Actually Want Enjoyment)
Corporate Christmas parties are often painful obligations. Ours aren't. The activity drives genuine bonding.
Your boss. Your shy colleague from accounting. Your team legend from sales. They all participate equally. No one's left watching. No one's excluded. That's real team building, not forced nonsense.
For Friends' Reunion Nights (Different Cities, Limited Meetups)
When your friendship group only gets together a few times a year, you want to do something that actually matters. Festive life drawing creates a shared experience you'll all reference for years.
"Remember that hen party where we all sketched badly together and couldn't stop laughing?" beats "Remember we went to another bar?"
For Mixed Groups (Age Ranges, Ability Levels, Everything)
Life drawing works for absolutely everyone! Different fitness levels. Different artistic ability. Literally doesn't matter.
Your 18-year-old cousin sits next to your 50-year-old mum. They both participate equally. They both actually enjoy it. That's the whole point.
For Instagram-Worthy Moments (Without Forced Poses)
The studio looks lush. You'll have candid photos of your group genuinely laughing and engaged. Before-and-after sketches. That moment when someone realises they actually created something decent.
Those are the photos that get real engagement. Not forced poses at a bar. Actual moments of joy.
What Does A Festive Life Drawing Session Actually Feel Like?
A festive life drawing class feels like a warm up party with pencils. Hens sketch, laugh, chat and enjoy silly drawing rounds that get everyone involved from the start.
The host gets the group going with quick sketches and ice breaker games. The poses become slightly more dramatic as everyone relaxes. Before long, the room is filled with happy chaos, supportive teasing and guests comparing their unexpectedly creative attempts.

Why Do Hens Find It So Easy And Fun?
Because nothing is serious. It is all simple prompts, playful challenges and encouraging hosting. Everyone feels included no matter how confident they are.
Most hens start by saying they cannot draw. That lasts about forty seconds. Once the first round is over, the laughter takes over and everyone realises the whole point is to enjoy yourselves, not to create perfect art.
Groups love the pressure free feeling. The music is on, drinks are flowing, and the atmosphere is lively without ever tipping into anything uncomfortable. It suits groups with mums and aunties just as well as the younger bridesmaids.
What If You've Never Done This Before?
The Stuff You Really Want To Know...
But Won't It Be Awkward With a Naked Person in the Room?
Nope. After about 10 minutes you'll completely forget they're there. You're too busy concentrating on whether you can actually draw a shoulder that doesn't look like a lumpy potato. The whole "there's a naked person" thing just vanishes. It's an art reference. Professional. Composed (ha, who are we kidding). But, honestly, after your second drink or so, you definitely won't mind the nude man 🙂Â
What If My Drawings Look Like They've Been Done By a Toddler on a Sugar Rush?
Brilliant - that's when it gets funny! Yes, your sketches might be hilariously bad. Your mate's figure might have one arm longer than the other. Someone's face might look like it's been through a tumble dryer. And that's exactly the point. You'll all be crying laughing at each other's attempts. The "bad" ones? They're always the best mementos because they're genuinely funny. You'll be looking at your mate's lopsided face and absolutely losing it. Those wonky sketches become the ones you treasure because they capture the actual vibe of the day.Â
Is 90 Minutes Going to Drag Like Watching Paint Dry?
Nope. Time absolutely flies. You're so focused and engaged that you'll look up and be shocked an hour and a half has gone. Plus there are breaks where you can stretch, have a chat, grab a drink. Before you know it you're wrapping up and leaving with your sketches.
Is This Actually Going to Be a Proper Laugh or Just Awkward Silence?
It's a proper laugh. Everyone's creating at the same time so you're chatting during breaks, showing each other your sketches, asking for tips, taking the piss out of how bad it all is. The bonding happens naturally because you're all in the same boat. There's no waiting around for your turn, no standing on the sidelines. Everyone's involved.
What If We All Hate It and Regret Paying For It?
Genuinely doesn't happen. Satisfaction ratings are consistently brilliant (we're talking 4.8 to 5 stars). Most people say it's one of their favourite celebration experiences ever. The combination just works. You're creating something. You're learning. You're laughing with your mates. You get to take home your wonky sketches as mementos. Plus, our studio’s perfectly nestled in Liverpool’s Georgian Quarter, just a stone’s throw from iconic spots like Hope Street’s buzzy bars, the Philharmonic Dining Rooms, and the lively Ropewalks area, perfect for continuing the party afterward. Whether you fancy an artisan cocktail, a legendary burger, or just some good old British pub vibes, you’ll find somewhere to keep the celebration going nearby. That's what makes this experience not just fun, but unforgettable.
Can You Recommend Places To Go After The Session?
After you're done, you're literally in the heart of Liverpool's Georgian Quarter. You've got The Engineer (a proper back-street boozer with craft beer and real cask), The White Hart (with a stunning beer garden), the award-winning Pen Factory (underground bar with seasonal food and constantly rotating cocktails), the Arts Bar (creative hub with live performances), or The Blackburne Arms (gastropub with excellent roasts). All within walking distance. You could grab food at one of the brilliant restaurants nearby, hit a cocktail bar, and keep the party going into the night (or morning). Hope Street is right there too with even more bars and the Everyman Theatre if someone fancies a show.
You've got everything on your doorstep to keep the celebration going exactly how you want it. If you want to follow up with another unique experience, you can also stay right here at the studio and enjoy one of CoverStar Experiences amazing recording studio parties!

What to Wear
Wear whatever makes you feel brilliant. Want to rock up in sequins and a tiara? Go for it. Fancy comfy joggers and a party top? Perfect. The vibe is that you can dress however you want. Some people come in full hen party costume, some come in casual gear, some dress to the nines. None of it matters. What matters is that you're comfortable enough to sit and draw for 90 minutes without your outfit digging into you or making you miserable. So basically, wear something you'd actually want to be in. If that's a gorgeous dress, wear the gorgeous dress. If it's comfy clothes, wear the comfy clothes. Just make sure you can move your arms without feeling like you're wearing a straitjacket. This is a celebration, not a fashion show (even though you'll probably look amazing either way).
What to Bring
Basically just yourself. We provide everything else. Bring your phone for personal photos during breaks if you want. We'll also take professional photos for you.
